Ifrit
This work in progress Solo Chicken Project written by Jean-Michel Cliche and directed by Lisa Ross features a hardcarved bunraku style infant Ifrit Jinn with mechanized eyes/mouth/ears, a jerboa and many shadow puppets.
From Field to Flight
The main additional puppet builds and designs for the 2025 River Clyde Pageant were the Coyote and the Fireflies. Photos coming soon.
While We Wait
This design encompassed the set, mouse, hare and baby bunny puppets as well as shadow puppetry scenes to represent the seasons, the weather and the passage of time. While We Wait is a production of Gale Force Theatre created by Lily Falk and Franziska Glen.

The Devil’s Store
This short film accompanies Callum Gaudet’s song of the same name. North Barn Theatre collaborated with Callum to dream up the visuals. I made the set, with Ian McFarlane consulting, and the puppet. A Monster’s Journey
Rachel Lloyd, Noella Murphy and I wrote this puppet play in the winter of 2023. As the puppet master I created Lowry, a fuzzy tabletop puppet, the Boss, an articulated bunraku monster, and Sternest, an ant-eater like body puppet. More photos coming soon.
Windfall in the Hollow
A giant human formed lantern, fungal bodies fruiting from tangles of roots, a flight of swallows, a cloud of bats and plant amphibian hybrids and stilted trees all emerged from a hurricane Fiona ravaged landscape during the 2023 River Clyde Pageant. Ghosts
These puppets were designed to embody the mythical ghosts that inhabit landscape. They were made to accompany Callum Gaudet’s Ghosts in a music video made in the Winter of 2023.
A Gorgon’s Tale
A pigeon, a butterfly, a gorgon, a snake, a spider, the sun and a king featured in this flipped myth tragedy by North Barn Theatre, 2022. The puppets were constructed out of cardboard, fabric, bamboo, wool, wire, tape and wood. They were made in 2 to 3 different sizes for close action and faraway journeys. Stay tuned for more photos!

Troubling Joy: a bicycle puppet circus
This group of puppets were hand carved out of basswood for North Barn Theatre in 2021 and featured neck, mouth and eye mechanisms.
Shakespeare’s Time Machine

Alongside making puppets for this 2021 Festival Antigonish Production, I also designed and constructed the set and props.
